President Obama please read...

...out-loud to Secretary Clinton.

Go slowly...

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

It is neither wise nor prudent to criticize the government or it's leaders especially when they have only been in office for a month. Would you criticize a new football, basketball or baseball coach before they have had some time to get things in order in their due season. No of course not you would judge their performance over their season not a month. Of course you will say it's every Americans right to criticize anyone whenever they want to. This is true but do you really want to criticize someone on a months performance. I don't think so.

Oh by the way I have heard nothing from the government about taking from the rich and giving it to the poor. Things are working the way they always have. If you work hard you will be compensated for that work and no one is going to take away what you have worked for. Both Clinton and Obama are very well off and I haven't heard them say they are going to take their money and give it to the poor and they don't expect you to do so either. Yes the poor must be helped through taxes and programs but this is not taking from the rich and giving it to the poor. It's happening the same way it always has.

Don't you think a month of performance or non performance is a little too soon to be criticizing people who are genuinely trying to help the country through these tough economic times and get to a better place.

Let's give them their due season to work for change then after that criticize them all you want but to criticize after just one month is not prudent.

Thank you for your thoughtful dissertation on my latest blog. I totally agree with your thesis if I intentionally had criticized or maligned the President or the Secretary of State.
My intent was to offered a quote by Dr. Rogers for there consideration when making governmental decisions.
I would like for all of our elected governmental officials to read it.

Annon - Please read again - There was no intent to criticize either Obama or Clinton.

Thanks again for your thoughts about giving these new office holders a chance to perform before offering either thanks or criticism.

Please continue to thoughtfully critique my blog.
